Saskatchewan Geological Society

The Saskatchewan Geological Society's purpose is to promote the study and practice of the earth sciences and to foster a spirit of scientific research among its members.

On behalf of the Saskatchewan Geological Society Executive I would like to thank everyone who participated in the annual Bonspiel this past Saturday. The costume-friendly event, which is held jointly with the D.M. Kent geology students club, produced some spirited competition and included some teams with exceptional costumes. We would like to thank our sponsors (APEGS, Wok Box, J D Mollard and Associates and The Saskatchewan Mining Association) for providing prizes and our caterer (Valley Girls Catering). Most importantly, we would like to thank Lynn Kelley who did a great job organizing the event and then managing the draw and Kate MacLachlan, who arranged the catering. It is volunteers like Lynn and Kate that make the society successful.

-Colin Card, President
