SGS Corporate Membership Application

The Saskatchewan Geological Society (SGS) is grateful for corporate sponsorship that assists our promotion of the earth sciences both in and beyond Saskatchewan. Some of our activities include:

  • Regular technical luncheons
  • Annual field trips.
  • A school liaison program to promote earth sciences. We annually host a public lecturer who tours schools in Regina, and partially fund science fairs throughout the province.
  • Annual scholastic awards to the top undergraduate and graduate earth science students at the universities of Saskatchewan and Regina.
  • Student- Industry career nights
  • Awards for the best graduate and undergraduate student poster displays at the annual Saskatchewan Industry and Resources Open House.
  • An endowment fund to help promote the study of the earth sciences in Saskatchewan
  • Symposia that explore a wide variety of geological themes and the proceedings of which are published in our Special Publication Series.
  • Subsidized geoscience short courses.
  • Social events such as the Curling Funspiel and Golf Tournament

Corporate Membership in the Saskatchewan Geological Society entitles your company to:

  1. Appoint a representative to be Associate Member of the Society.
  2. Receive the Rock Record, our newsletter, highlighting upcoming lectures and special events.
  3. Attend subsidized short courses and field trips.
  4. Have your Company recognized special publications at our annual general meetings and other special events.
  5. Contribute to the promotion of earth sciences and development of future geoscientists.

Please note that, if you decide not to take out Corporate Membership, you may choose a tax deductible Corporate Sponsorship in an amount of your discretion.

Annual Corporate Membership fee is $100.00. On-line payment is made through our secure PayPal account. (NOTE: You do not require a PayPal account for on-line registration).
